Introduction

In this rapidly growing world we witness changes and transformations on a daily basis, a huge reason of which is the progress in the IT sector.

The IT sector has played a huge part in the transformation of our society and its mindset which has made us more capable than ever in any sector one can imagine. As they say “Modern problems require modern solutions”, we humans have invented a solution for possibly every problem we face, which we call as Technological Advancements.

Effects on Humanity

Talking about the effects of technology on humanity it has changed possibly everything. Be it how you communicate with someone or how you order food, how you entertain yourself or how you protect yourself, technology has made it presence felt in every aspect of our life.

As the world grows, new problems arises which in turn arises new demands which are met with advancements in the available technology. Humans need technology in every field, but some domains have heavily advanced due to technology, considering some of those:

·     Healthcare - Advancement of Technology in medicine can be considered as the greatest gift to mankind. Over the years technology has saved many lives. Doctors and chemists have heavily relied on technology for research and development of medical tools and medicines. This extensive research has made possible the development of new drugs, treatments which have helped in treating many diseases even the most the most challenging ones which were once considered as incurable. Technology which has helped the medical sector take a huge leap.

    Communication – Communication has become a lot faster and easy thanks to technology.

    The most obvious form of Technological Advancements can be seen in field of communication and business. Long ago there was a time when people used posts to convey a message to a distant person, and had to wait weeks before a reply. Tackling this problem entered the scene The Telephone, a wired device using electricity which allows to make calls over a large area covering cities. But a problem with it that we can’t carry it with us. Well, no problem, the new technology arrives. Yes, the mobile phones, small and easy to carry, easy to use, provides a far more range of functions than just making calls, you can send text messages and mms. Advancements in mobile phone happened which gave birth to the Smart phones, I don’t have to explain its functions I guess. Technology has changed the way of communication by a huge extent also helping in business purposes.

· · Education – Technology has transformed education greatly. It has simplified the way teachers reach their students and has helped them to access information anytime, anywhere. Students now no more have to dependent on teachers for queries and doubts.

  This has also helped raise the literacy rates and let education reach the corners of the world were once it was not possible.
